Preamble

Protibondhi Shawnirbhor Sangstha (PSS) is an Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) working in Rajshahi district of Bangladesh. The organization was established in 2001, involving 150 persons with disabilities with support from ADD International Bangladesh. Now, the organization has a total of 55 members, among them males, 45, and females 9. The organization implements its activities, ensuring equal participation of men and women with disabilities.

According to the organization's bylaws, 130 members make up its General Committee, and seven members make up its Executive Committee. The staff and volunteers implement the organizational activities following the directives of the General Secretary/ Executive Director. Through the direct involvement of men and women with disabilities, the organization is working to promote the rights of persons with disabilities and improve their lives with support from government and non-government organizations.

Besides, the organization strives for partnerships with mainstreaming organizations to ensure Disability Inclusion in their programs by ensuring the active and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities and providing capacity-building and technical assistance.
